Mobile money remains one of the largest financial inclusion tool for residents in East Africa. In 2021, 56 billion dollars were transferred in the Kenyan market, followed by Tanzania at 49 billion dollars and Uganda at USD 37 billion and Rwanda USD 9.6 billion.
